Background

About Emma Finucan

I am an enthusiastic, passionate and quality-driven Secondary Teacher within a school that promotes current pedagogy practices and embraces inclusivity. As someone who has a genuine interest in learning, I am able to empower, motivate and inspire others, especially secondary students, to build a love for learning and pursue their career aspirations. Reflecting on my teaching, I demonstrate a natural ability to engage students and deliver a respectful, inclusive and engaging classroom setting. I understand the importance of leading differentiating learning experiences by developing lesson plans, learning resources and assessments in line with students’ learning capabilities. This is achieved by not only assessing the students’ capabilities but integrating innovative strategies to support their learning, such as technology, group activity and real-life learning.
