About Emma Frey

I am a graduate of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville where I received a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Public Health. After graduation, I moved to Nashville to pursue a career in the mental health field. I began working for Park Center, a non-profit organization that focuses on supporting people living with mental illness and substance use. I currently work as a SOAR Engagement Coordinator in the Homeless Outreach department, assisting members experiencing a housing crisis in Davidson County who are also living with mental illness that may help them qualify for expedited application for SSI/SSDI. My role is to get people “SOAR application ready,” which involves requesting past medical records, and if needed, getting the members into outpatient mental health treatment to help them become eligible for application for SSI/SSDI. I am also able to assist members in getting SNAP, as well as their governmental identification documents such as IDs, birth certificates, and social security cards to help them prepare for the housing process.
