About Emma Gersho

My name is Emma Gersho and ever since I could talk, I have a passionate for storytelling. Several years now, I have been drawn to the idea of telling a story through the medium of a video. Born and raised in the Bay Area, at the young age of twelve years old, I began to film and edit music videos and upload them to YouTube. Creating and editing videos allowed me to tell and share my own stories with the world. But that was only just the beginning. I would soon discover that I could use filmmaking as a way to express myself and challenge myself to process my experiences in a cathartic manner.I am a 2021 graduate of University of Oregon, where I majored in Cinema Studies. While at UO, I was the president of the UO Womxn & Film club, a club designed to create space for female and female identifying filmmakers on our campus. I also worked on multiple student productions, including one I produced myself for my school's television program, Duck TV. My short film What in The Meme won for best program that quarter.I moved to Los Angeles in September of 2022. My first couple years in LA I worked as a freelance production assistant and editor, made numerous passion projects, while working babysitting and working service jobs on the side. In June 2025, I accepted a position at BOND, where as an I/O Media Assistant I am responsible for managing project material materials from start to finish for trailer marketing.
