About Emma Hakansson

Founding director of Collective Fashion Justice, a not-for-profit working for a total ethics fashion system that values people, our fellow animals and the planet we share before profit. CFJ works to educate the public and change cultural perception of what it means to produce fashion responsibly (without animals or fossil fuels, slowly and while paying living wages, to start with), consults with brands and industry, while working at a legislative level, too. Writer of many reports, articles and a book — How Veganism Can Save Us — on total ethics fashion, sustainability, animal rights, and collective liberation. Also working with the Australian Childhood Foundation on a survivor-led project to protect children from sexual abuse – with the weight of that responsibility belonging to adults.
