With a background rich in community engagement and leadership, my time at the BC SPCA has been focused on advocating for human and animal wellbeing and nurturing a team dedicated to compassionate service. Our collective efforts have not only strengthened community bonds but also elevated the standards of animal care in Victoria. At the heart of my professional journey lies a deep-seated passion for the arts and community development, which seamlessly integrates into my role at BC SPCA. This unique blend of interests fuels my commitment to fostering an environment where creativity and professionalism go hand in hand, inspiring others and making a tangible difference in the lives of both people and animals. My master’s project with the University of Victoria uses community participatory research to explore and evaluate the services available to unhoused pet owners. A key deliverable is the Street Pet Survival Guide.
