About Emma Hansen

A highly motivated individual with a strong passion for international justice, particularly in addressing power imbalances and social inequalities through meaningful, people-centered work. With a background rooted in both academic study and hands-on experience, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving—drawing from diverse frameworks and tools to tackle complex global challenges. I have experience working across key areas of humanitarian and development programming, primarily our Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) policy space, ensuring no people groups are left behind in our programming. My work has involved contributing to justice-focused initiatives, supporting community-led projects, and engaging with partners to drive sustainable and inclusive outcomes. I’m deeply committed to the humanitarian sector and am actively seeking opportunities to contribute to emergency response/aid policy where I can continue to grow, lead, and make a tangible impact.
