Background
About Emma Horoszewski
As an Upper School Chemistry, Biology, and Engineering at BASIS Independent Manhattan, I combine my passion for education and working with students with my academic credentials and research skills. My favorite part of working with students is encouraging them to be their most authentic selves and helping them through the challenges that they face socially, emotionally, and academically throughout middle and high school. I design and deliver engaging and rigorous curriculum that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among my students. I also collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the school's mission and vision. I am committed to excellence, innovation, and diversity in education. As a member of my school's Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative (JEDI), I work hard to ensure that my classroom and school community is a safe and enriching environment for all students. Personally, I am always seeking opportunities to grow as an educator and am eager to apply feedback and experiment with different approaches in the classroom.
