Emma is an experienced urban economist and property strategy professional. Coming from a planning background, she has developed a strong understanding of the intersection between economics and planning. Emma has experience across Australia over a range of land use and development projects in the retail, activity centres, residential, commercial, health, and education sectors. Her skills include demographic, population and market analysis, highest and best use assessments, market assessments, sales and floorspace forecasting, economic impact and benefits assessments, and property strategy planning. Emma has spent time working in the location planning and property strategy teams of multiple major retailers, giving her an understanding of retail from the operator perspective, in addition to her understanding or retail from the developer and customer perspectives. Her vast knowledge of retail economics assists in ensuring retail developments are supportable in the real world. Projects included detailed site analysis, sales forecasting, retail property strategy, and retail property insights. Emma has a Bachelor of Environments (Urban Design & Planning) undergraduate degree and a Master of Urban Planning (Urban Development & Planning, Social Planning) postgraduate degree.
