About Emma Kepic

Thomas Edison once said, “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” This quote deeply resonates with me, as I believe that hard work and diligence are two determining factors in one's overall success. I completed the Master of Accounting at the Sprott School of Business (Carleton University) in 2021 and recently obtained my Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. I was able to integrate my accounting knowledge, while also gaining significant financial management and budgeting experience, within my position as Financial Analyst at the Canada Revenue Agency. I then continued my professional experience working at Welch LLP as a Staff and Senior Accountant for nearly three years, obtaining experience in servicing various clients with their accounting needs. I have experience in performing compilations, reviews and audits. I then transitioned to the Office of the Auditor General of Canada within the Financial Audit practice. I am currently working as a Financial Analyst at the City of Kelowna. I am passionate about continuous development and therefore seek opportunities for growth, learning and the enhancement of my skills as an accountant and future professional in the field. My hobbies and other activities include maintaining a healthy lifestyle by being active through various sports and cooking nutritious meals, spending time with friends, and widening my cultural views through international travel. My life philosophy is to be the happiest, the most successful and the best version of myself, regardless of the occasional challenges that arise.
