About Emma Kircher

To learn, to understand, to exchange with each other, to communicate. Four words that encompass a multitude of challenges on a larger and smaller scale. It is my thirst for knowledge that brought me here, to Japan. Raised in an international family, I was always fascinated by the languages and the way people use them to communicate with each other. It is therefore quite natural that I decided to work into the translation industry. The impact of a well-chosen word, the imagination that a well-written sentence can arouse in the reader, those thousands of pages covered with words that do not move and yet guide us to other horizons. This is the essence of my profession and that of many other talented women and men. As a translator of mobile games, I like to think that my words give life to these parallel worlds in which many of us like to immerse ourselves, guided by the thirst for adventure or knowledge. Along the way, I was entrusted to take the lead of the French translation team of my current company. Since then, I never stopped to overcome all the challenges that arose to my team and myself, always facing the adversity with patience and understanding. I truly believe that there is nothing more exiting and rewarding than listening to people, sharing with them and to acknowledge our differences to get the best out of it.
