About Emma Leigh

I currently head up Governance at PPS Investments. This role entails full responsibility for the risk management, compliance, legal and company secretarial functions. I previously headed up both Finance and HR at the same company, but as the company has grown, I've been able to focus on governance. In the financial services space, I am responsible for the following types of entities from a governance perspective: intermediary services, advice (until 2017), investment management, collective investment schemes, administration (LISP), custodian (nominee), retirement funds and long-term insurance products. On the retail side, PPS Investments markets and services PPS members with both pre and post retirement products, insurance and discretionary products and on the institutional side, PPS investments manages various investment mandates and consultancy services for related entities. I am part of the Executive Team responsible for strategy and decision making across the PPS Investments group. I am a mentor to 2 compliance officers outside my firm and have provided mentorship to staff within the firm. I am a member of IRMSA (Institute of risk management SA), CISA (compliance institute SA- I have C(Prac) and C(Prof) qualifications), IoDSA (Institute of Directors SA), I am a CA (recognised in UK by ICAEW and in SA by SAICA).
