About Emma Mayo

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with families. I have worked with individuals and families during times of extreme adjustment and difficulty and recognize the unique impact such situations can have on a person or family unit. I have worked with the entire life span and view each person's experience as specific to them, requiring a tailored plan to achieve peace, happiness and health. I specialize in understanding how trauma, loss, and substance abuse can change the course of one's life and strive to support individuals in reaching self set goals. I also have experience in the increasingly unique situation of the "sandwich generation", the adults who are caring for elderly parents while still raising their children. This situation can present many wonderful blessings along with emotionally, financially and physically demanding challenges. I believe that everyone can develop their own life path and will work with individuals to gain a deeper understanding of their strengths and barriers to achieving it.
