Background
About Emma Miles
The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington is known to be one of the best business schools in the country, and I’m proud to be a part of it. I am a direct-admit senior at the Kelley School of Business pursuing a double major in Marketing and Professional Sales with a co-major in Leading DEI Organizations. I’ve always believed in leading with empathy and curiosity, values that have shaped both my academic path and professional growth. I have applied these values to internships, leadership roles, and entrepreneurial competitions and developed a strong foundation in communication, strategy, and cross-functional teamwork. My recent internship at Powers Health allowed me to gain real-world experience in healthcare marketing. I contributed to the company’s rebranding efforts by collaborating with internal and external marketing professionals to create marketing materials. At Ulta Beauty, I improved product distribution efficiency and designed end cap displays to better reach target customers. This is the experience I credit to sparking my interest in retail strategy and consumer insights. Outside of internships, I served as Sisterhood Chair for Delta Zeta, where I led a record-breaking fundraising event that quadrupled previous earnings and fostered member engagement through creative event planning. Additionally, I was a regional finalist in Indiana’s Innovate WithIN pitch competition. I acted as Chief Marketing Officer and built a brand that caught the attention of business professionals statewide, including Indiana’s Lieutenant Governor. These experiences have shaped me into a charismatic, driven, and creative problem-solver. I’m excited to continue building a purpose-driven career that combines my passions for marketing, leadership, and community impact.
