About Emma Orange

My name is Emma Orange. I am a senior, finance major at the University of Maryland. In the past I have worked on jobs that allow me to hone my skills in communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. For example, I worked at a math tutoring center where I received the opportunity to collaborate with my coworkers on coming up with new lesson plans and using visual aids to help students increase their understanding on a subject. In addition to this, I am a part of multiple committees in my sorority one being the recruitment committee. Not only do I get to work with my fellow members on building the legacy of our chapter, but I get the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone by having conversations with new people and learning about their values. As a student at the UMD, I have completed the First-Year Innovation and Research program that allowed me to improve upon my research skills and experience using online programs, such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Excel. I am a very driven, organized person. I am passionate about learning more about the world and how I can make a difference.
