About Emma Peters

I’ve always been curious about human behaviour, and the way people think and why they act the way they do. This curiosity manifested as a passion which led me to an Undergraduate degree in Psychology, where I became fascinated in understanding the reason behind people’s behaviour. I have a natural curiosity which motivates me to ask questions to try and uncover the workings of human cognition. This inquisitiveness has enabled me to transform my passion into the keystone of my career in User Experience, where I also utilise my skills in communication, research and analysis to provide insight into improving the digital experiences of my clients and their users. Supported by a robust academic background, I seamlessly integrate psychological methodologies into UX practices including research, testing and observations. This integration enriches the depth and breadth of my research analysis while adding a layer of scientific rigor to the insights identified. I maintain ethical guidelines for my organisation ensuring that every step of the research process follow industry best practices. I take a reflective approach to how I work, conducting retrospectives regularly, to enable my team and I to grow iteratively through continuous improvement. My work spans sectors including travel, retail, education, government, e-commerce, construction, non-profit and insurance, where I interpret user insight into actionable recommendations. With a strong foundation in research and human behaviour, I consistently approach delivery, stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking with the human in mind. Throughout my career I’ve completed additional learning and training, which has improved my skills, alongside practical experience to ensure my craft continuously improves. Now, with six years of experience in research, consultancy and team leadership, I am looking for opportunities where I can continue to work with people, conducting research, and identifying recommendations that enhance the human experience.
