About Emma Reilly

A driven individual with a passion for helping others; I am hardworking, patient, and have the ability to both lead and listen. I take pride in being responsible and doing what is best for not only myself but those around me. Over the course of the past four years, I have worked to enhance my experience in areas that I am truly passionate about. Starting in January of 2017, I began my job with the Department of Health and Human Services working as an Independent Provider for a young man with severe autism. With this, I have been able to become certified in Applied Behavioral Analysis and CPR and First Aid. I have also worked on gaining experience for my future career through job shadowing opportunities with multiple Occupational Therapists. I have been able to observe many different clinical settings such as pediatrics, women's health, breast cancer rehabilitation, neurological disorders, etc. I have also had multiple volunteer opportunities such as working with children with disabilities at a Parks and Rec summer camp and helping at assisted bingo for Acute patients at Madonna Rehabilitation. I believe my past experiences are what have contributed to my acceptance into Creighton University's Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program.
