About Emma Sander
In June 2021, I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Archaeology and Anthropology. I've had the opportunity to take a range of courses in both archaeology and anthropology. I participated in the 2021 U of S archaeology field school, during which I gained experience with many aspects of archaeology, including surveying, excavation, artifact identification, using ground penetrating radar, cataloguing, and writing reports. Aside from my passion for archaeology and anthropology, I am very interested in languages and linguistics. I was fortunate to participate in a term abroad at Phillips University of Marburg in 2019, where I competed the Intensive German Language Studies program. I also participated in the Explore program in 2017, during which I studied French at the University of Montreal. These opportunities allowed me to not only improve my foreign language skills, but also my skills of cross-cultural communication, adaptability, and problem-solving. As a recent graduate, I am eager and motivated to begin my career in a field that I am passionate about, and excited to see what the future has in store.
