About Emma Scott

Radio plugger, Radio Presenter and Music Entrepreneur MA - obtained a distinction/first-class grade - August 2021. I've been in the music industry since 1988. I started out in radio straight out of school and I was a radio presenter for 25 years, travelling about the UK and working for stations like Chiltern Radio, Galaxy Radio, Metro FM, Hallam FM, Power FM, Juice 107.2fm, Kerrang! Radio, Q Radio, and Heart. I am the author of 2 books to help musicians: Break Your Band: A Guide to Getting Radio Airplay (2012) If It Was My Band.(2014) I am the founder of Pluggin' Baby LTD - radio plugging and PR, which I set up in 2013 after leaving full-time radio. I put on my first Emma Scott Presents gig back in 2007, mainly in Birmingham, and I won 3 Pure Rawk Awards for Promoting (2011, 2012, and 2013) and also the Live Music UK Business Awards "Indie Promoter of the Year" in 2012. I'm back on the radio - from the comfort of my kitchen studio - for Primordial Radio. I'm also a voice-over artist, interviewer, compere, host, tv presenter and a mentor for Sonic Workshops and am in the process of writing another book for musicians to help them become their own radio pluggers! In my "spare time," I walk my dog, look after my 2 daughters, and can lift twice my own body weight as I love a bit of weight training too!
