About Emma Simon

I am a recent graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and I am looking to work in the medical device industry. As a part of my senior design course I was able to work with a team to design and construct a wearable blood pressure monitor intended to continuously monitor pregnant women at risk for developing hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Through this project I was able to take part in the product development process at each step: idea creation, research, design, implementation, product testing (according to engineering standards such as ISO), and prototyping. I have a passion for problem solving and would love to join a team of likeminded individuals who hope to positively impact others through medical device innovation.
