About Emma Snow

During my four years working at Grants Mill Animal Hospital, I gained valuable experience and skills that will benefit as I pursue my ultimate career goal in animal behavior. I was originally interested in becoming a veterinarian, but during my time at the veterinary clinic, I helped to socialize and developed many connections with fearful and nervous animals. This experience made me realize how interested I was in animal behavior. I am currently studying psychology at Auburn University. After graduation, I plan to pursue formal certification as an animal behaviorist and a dog trainer. My ultimate career goal is to be a behavior consultant for veterinarians, shelters, and rescues and to possibly do some dog training. Although I do not intend on becoming a veterinarian anymore, my experience at the veterinary clinic was still very beneficial to me. I was able to observe and handle different types of animals that had all different behaviors. That experience gave me knowledge of how to read and work with all different kinds of animal behavior.
