About Emma Staples

An accomplished senior leader with extensive experience in sport, policy and strategic planning, spanning 20 years in Government and Non-Profit sectors. As Cricket Victoria’s Head of Diversity and Community, I have leadership of three key areas: Cricket Victoria’s community engagement and social responsibility strategy. This includes leading and implementing a community engagement strategy that aligns with Cricket Victoria’s core values and delivers a meaningful and positive impact across the Victorian community. Cricket Victoria’s female strategy, ensuring that Cricket is the leading sport for choice for women and girls; and leading Cricket Victoria’s investment in equity and equality across the business with the objective of mainstreaming diversity and inclusion strategies into Cricket Victoria’s business and operational plans. Leading and building strong teams and meaningful stakeholder relationships have resulted in positive commercial and cultural change outcomes. These achievements are also reflective of my values, work ethic and belief in treating people with respect, and acknowledging that building trust comes through action and behaviours.
