About Emma Train

I am an experienced learning designer, writer, and qualitative researcher. I have nearly ten years of higher education experience, including as a professional academic writer and qualitative researcher, as well as a learning designer/university instructor. I have two years' experience in communications and marketing for a small educational organization (MFA program). I have a track-record of successful project management for a wide array of complex writing, research, and instructional design projects. I have the proven ability to assess and achieve research-based outcomes, deliver an engaging customer/educational experience, manage relationships with stakeholders/SMEs, and set priorities. My passion for the humanities is driven by a interest in what motivates people, and my creative strength lies in crafting narratives that illuminate those motivations. As a creative writer, I am skilled at analyzing data and information in the service of crafting clear narratives. In my 5+ years’ experience as an educator, I have become expert at breaking down complex concepts and dense writing into accessible pieces. I love translating abstractions into concrete, real-world examples to make knowledge accessible for all.
