About Emma Trauth

Emma is currently a Lead Junior Kindergarten teacher at Science & Arts Academy. Emma has 8 years of experience working with gifted learners. She is a member of the Illinois Association for Gifted Children. Emma joined the SAA community in 2016 and continues to engage in various programs the school provides. From 2016-2022, Emma was active in the school's summer program which she was a Lead Preschool teacher from 2020-2022. Emma also co-leads the GEMS (Girls Excelling in Math and Science) club at SAA. Emma brings over 10 years of experience and passion in working with children of all ages from birth through 8th grade, as well as tutoring high school students. Emma attended Bradley University and National Louis University. She continues to advance her education by studying Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and ESL. Additionally, Emma plans to study gifted education and hopes to get her master’s to become a Reading Specialist. Emma has had experience working with children at a young age. She started as a nanny/babysitter, and from there went on to become a camp counselor with various organizations (Camp Invention, Vacation Bible School, and Science and Arts Academy). Emma has also been very active in various school districts in Central Illinois and the Chicagoland Area
