About Emma Trembath

I love what I do and after nearly 25 years in environmental engineering, that still feels like a privilege. My work spans waste management, landfills, contaminated land, hazardous substances, and environmental consulting across New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific, and the USA. I have led teams, delivered projects, and worked deep in the technical detail, which has shaped a practical and grounded approach to solving complex problems.I enjoy the challenges that do not come with tidy answers. I focus on understanding what really matters, asking good questions, and developing solutions that are clear, workable, and proportionate. I value trust, straight conversations, and collaboration, and I enjoy working with people who care about doing the job well.I’m passionate about finding smarter, more sustainable ways to manage waste and land - solutions that balance environmental responsibility with practical implementation. Innovation doesn’t have to be flashy; sometimes it’s about asking better questions and doing the basics really well.
