Background
About Emmanuel Bayle
Emmanuel Bayle is a hydrogeologist and water-resources expert with nearly 20 years of international consulting experience. Today, he delivers end-to-end water and groundwater management solutions and strategies for major mining projects and operations mainly across Chile, Argentina and Peru. His multidisciplinary expertise includes surface-water and groundwater characterization and modeling; geological and geotechnical engineering; and environmental assessment—encompassing onsite investigations, data analysis, and conceptual & numerical modeling. Early in his career, Emmanuel worked in Canada, the Caribbean and France for leading consulting firms and the French Geological Survey (BRGM), conducting environmental studies for the oil & gas industry and geotechnical analyses for civil-engineering infrastructure. Today Emmanuel supports environmental impact assessments and permitting processes, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility Studies (PFS/FS), water-management optimization for open pit & underground mining, and seepages analysis for tailings storage facilities. He brings extensive experience in client and stakeholder management, project & delivery, team leadership, and business development. Since 2012, Emmanuel is based in Santiago de Chile where he leads the Piteau Chile’s water team, with frequent travels to Peru to support the Piteau local team and clients.
