About Emmanuel Dormon
I am an agricultural economist with 25 years’ experience working on various large agricultural programs and projects. I have undertaken various tasks relating to agricultural productivity enhancement, innovation development, monitoring and evaluation. My interest is in promoting agribusiness through value chain strengthening and public-private partnership models aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of commodity value chains. I am currently a Senior Director in the Inclusive Market Systems Division at ACDI VOCA. Until September 2019 I was the Chief of Party for the Agricultural Development and Value Chain Enhancement (ADVANCE) program funded by USAID and implemented by ACDI/VOCA, and the Country Representative for ACDI/VIOCA in Ghana.I hold a PhD and MSc from the Wageningen University and Research Centre in The Netherlands with specialization in policy and socio-economic innovation that are especially beneficial to smallholder farmers. I also hold a BSc. in Agriculture (Economics major) from the KNUST and certificates in monitoring and evaluation, and database development from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK.
