About Emmanuel Menya
Dr. Emmanuel Menya is a Senior Lecturer of Biosystems Engineering and Coordinator of the MSc Programme in Renewable Energy and Energy Access at the Department of Biosystems Engineering, Gulu University, Uganda. He completed two postdoctoral fellowships in 2021 and 2024, with funding from the Volkswagen Foundation and Carnegie Corporation of New York, respectively. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University. Dr. Menya has supervised to completion 20 undergraduate and 6 graduate students. He has successfully authored and managed research grants, both as a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator. He has served as a reviewer and guest editor for reputable peer-reviewed journals. He is currently a Full Editorial Board Member for Chemical Engineering Research and Design (Elsevier), Discover Sustainability (Springer Nature) and the Uganda Journal of Agricultural Sciences (UJAS).
