About Emmanuel S. Joel

Dr. Emmanuel S. Joel is an Associate Professor of Geophysics (Groundwater and Environmental Geophysics) and research scientist in the Department of Earth Sciences, Anchor University, Lagos, Nigeria. He holds B. Tech (Hons.) in Physics with electronics, M.Sc. and PhD degree in Industrial Physics with interest in Applied Geophysics. His research focused on the groundwater, environment and climate change. He has published over fifty (50) scientific publications in high reputable (Q1) journals as author and co-authors. Dr. Emmanuel S. Joel is an award winner of Covenant University Centre for Research and Innovation Development (CUCRID). In addition, Dr. Emmanuel S. Joel is an editorial member as reviewer to so many reputable scientific journals, which includes Geophysical Prospecting, International Journal of Geophysics, Environmental Earth Sciences, Journal of Environmental Quality, Environmental Chemistry Letters, Environmental Forensics, Radiation Effects and Defects in Solids, International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, Journal of Chemistry, Scientific African etc. He played a major role in the setting up of Department of Earth Sciences Anchor University, Nigeria, which was endorsed by National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2018 for commencement. Dr. Emmanuel S. Joel was the Head of Department of Earth Sciences, Anchor University Lagos and led the Department for their first ever NUC accreditation exercise in December 2021. Presently, Dr. Emmanuel S. Joel is the Ag. Dean Student Affairs Anchor University Lagos.
