About Emmanuelle Sylvain

As a passionate advocate for social justice and inclusion, I bring over 15 years of experience as a DEI specialist, project manager, and educator. I specialise in antiracism and LGBTQI+ rights through intersectional perspectives, partnering with organizations to build cultures of respect, empathy, and collaboration. My international background and advanced academic training in humanities and social sciences—including Master's degrees in Peace and Development Research and International Development Cooperation—equip me to navigate complex cultural contexts. Fluent in English, Swedish, French, and Spanish, I design and deliver impactful, multilingual training programs that drive meaningful change. Key expertise includes diversity recruitment, leadership development, inclusive communication, and cultural competency. I attract and retain diverse talent to drive innovation, equip leaders with tools for building inclusive teams, design programs that foster empathy and collaboration, and facilitate effective teamwork across multilingual and multicultural environments. In my current role as a DEI Specialist, I shape and execute DEI strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders, embedding equity and inclusion into all initiatives. I develop and implement training programs, monitor and analyse diversity metrics to drive continuous improvement, and partner with HR leaders to refine recruitment practices and advance diversity goals. Additionally, I advocate for DEI initiatives, challenge inequitable policies, and provide expert guidance to management and staff, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect at all levels. My goal is to empower individuals and organizations to create environments where everyone can thrive and where respect for human rights is at the core of our work.
