About Emmeric Semilla

I have been in the mining industry for 14 years, mainly on the shaft sinking projects for 2 copper mines in Zambia. Starting from project civil engineer to superintendent civil engineer. I have worked for contractor and client and has seen the advantages and disadvantages from both sides. During this time I have worked with MS office, MS project, Autocad to name a few softwares, I consistently use in my day to day duties. This year I am overseeing the upgrade of the Tailings Storage Facilities for Mopani Copper Mines both in Kitwe and Mufulira sites. Whilst working for Shimizu Corporation, I have had various working experience in mechanical and electrical installation for the Japanese Grant Aid project of basics schools in Lusaka, I was later promoted to Site manager for one of the basic school project, later for the same company, I was taken to Dubai for the Palm Jumeriah project. Earlier in my career in the Philippines, I worked for Sto. Nino De Cebu Construction, I was the site civil engineer for various land development project on different sites with in the region. My task and responsibilities is mainly to supervise the construction of roads, drainages, swimming pools, elevated water tanks and a clubhouse. In all of my project involvement, I have completed the project with in time and budget and relatively safe without any fatalities.
