Emmie currently holds a position as an Exploratory Advising Program Manager in Undergraduate Advising and Transition at Georgia Institute of Technology. Her main responsibilities included coordinating tutoring for all student-athletes, hiring tutors and student assistants for SASS, as well as maintaining the front office duties. In addition, she was the FlightPlan Coordinator which assisted student-athletes in finding internships, job experience, career advice, as well as life after sports. Previously at KSU, Emmie served as a sports marketing intern during the 2013-14 academic year while pursuing a master’s degree in American Studies at KSU, which she received in July of 2015. With the sports marketing team, she worked closely with the Owls softball program, developing and executing a marketing plan and promotional schedule for the 2014 season. Emmie owns a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from LaGrange College, in LaGrange, Ga, where she was a member of the College’s softball team from 2008 to 2012 as well as served as assistant to the athletic director from 2010 to 2012 and assistant to the softball head coach from 2008 to 2010. She also holds a Master of Arts in American Studies from KSU since 2015. She has recently returned to education, pursuing her Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of West Georgia.
