About Emmie Martin

Who am I? A career development professional currently working with GuidanceHive where I work with individuals and groups to develop their CVs, personal statements, interview skills, and more - I'm also a part-time Admissions Coordinator at UWS. Alongside this, I am studying my PGDip in Career Guidance and Development to qualify as a Career Adviser by Summer 2022 (delayed due to COVID-19!). What do I do? At GuidanceHive I offer a range of services to suit a wide variety of clients - that can include long term career coaching, one off CV Review appointments, and feedback on personal statements for university applicants. I work hard to be able to offer my time to both private clients and those from widening participation backgrounds who don't have access to the support that they need to fulfill their full potential. What do I care about? Promoting the value of all forms of education and doing my bit to provide equal access to those from disadvantaged backgrounds through delivering widening participation activities. What are my plans for the future? I am enjoying where I am right now but always looking for new projects! Academically, I plan to progress onto my MSc to further research Gaelic Medium Careers Education in schools and in the post-school Gaelic speaking population. Professionally, I am in the midst of a project that focuses on developing resources to facilitate remote 4D learning for those in the careers, coaching, and other associated sectors. 🤔 Want to know more?
