About Emmily Broadhurst

A diverse skill set built across a range of industries, including international work and travel programs, tourism, events, and economic development. I bring both operational and strategic capability — with experience leading teams, building partnerships, and designing programs that create purpose for people, places, and organisations. As New Zealand Director for Smaller Earth, I established and grew the NZ office, developed international partnerships, and led the placement of Kiwi candidates into seasonal roles across resorts in the USA and Canada. That role sharpened my skills in global stakeholder management, business development, and building growth strategies from the ground up. Since then, I’ve held roles at Tourism New Zealand and WellingtonNZ, working across premium travel, business events, and destination development. I’ve implemented and operationalized strategy, managed sales pipelines, and contributed to long-term outcomes for regional and national tourism. Earlier in my career, I spent several seasons in hands-on snow sports and adventure tourism roles — experiences that gave me a strong grounding in guest experience and logistics and continue to shape my leadership style today. I’m known for being authentic, adaptable, and calm under pressure, with a genuine passion for high-quality delivery and people-centred work. Relocating permanently to Wanaka in September 2025 and currently open to opportunities in tourism sales, program leadership, and experience-based business development.
