After a 30-year corporate career which no longer ignited a spark within me, I experienced a defining moment when I knew in an instant, that life would never be the same again. It was a cold, dark, wet January evening in 2020, in a small corporate meeting room in London. A senior executive, in an outburst of rage, poured his frustration out at me across the table. His voice got louder with each word, causing my hands to tremble and I had to hold on to the edges of the table to steady myself. Beads of sweat dripped down my face. I wondered how my 30-year corporate career had come to this. I thought about all the nights when, in spite of living a life that may have looked like success on paper, there was a dull ache within me that whispered,"There's got to be more to my life than this!"At one point my mouth opened, I couldn't trust what would come out of it. Then it closed. I don't know if he stopped talking or if I stopped listening but suddenly, a wave of peace came over me. I heard two very quiet words in my head:"Not today."I got up and walked out. I don't mean I walked out of the meeting, the room or even the building. I walked away from a life where my body showed up at work but my soul stayed at home. That moment launched a new chapter. I went in search of me. When I discovered myself, I realised that I had the ability to speak powerfully. I combined that with the purpose for this season of my life - to travel the world, step on global stages and speak life into midlife professional women, inspiring them to reach for their boldest dreams. Since then I've spoken on international stages and hosted 16 of my own in-person, transformational events, from London to Dubai, from Lake Como to Marrakech.With a mission to,"Go back and get the others", I founded Ziano Mindspa, through which I guide ex-professional midlife women who are launching their own entrepreneurial ventures to craft their signature message and create their own events.
