My professional journey began in 2017 at the University of Iowa. My goal? To find a subject that I was passionate about and develop my craft to ensure success.Eventually, I found that subject: speaking. More specifically, I was fascinated with the concept of how one’s speech could be used to develop one’s network, and provide solutions to problems others may face. A professor of mine once told me “A salesperson doesn’t sell products - they provide solutions to headache issues.” This belief is what propelled my interest in sales.Over the years, my time at Iowa would develop my entrepreneurial mindset. And it is this mindset that would eventually lead to my time in the logistics industry as a Carrier Sales Representative. During my tenure in logistics, I have built the groundwork for my own sales success by…- Building confidence by making 80+ outbound calls daily- Developing a diverse, reliable book of business- Overcoming objections and standing strong in the face of adversity- Problem-solving to resolve a wide variety of on-the-spot issues- Analyzing detailed paperwork to ensure proper compensation with clientsAs of 2021 I have graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Enterprise Leadership. And yet, I still consider myself to be a student at heart; my desire to grow through new, challenging opportunities is what fuels me to move forward. And when combined with my previous experience and easily transferable skill set, I have confidence that I will succeed in my next role.
