About Enya Shackleton

Blending creativity with commerce, I bring a unique perspective to business education, drawing on a background in marketing, brand strategy, and my early career as a fashion blogger. My passion lies in combining industry insight with innovative, student-centered teaching. A milestone in my journey has been serving as a Prince’s Trust ( now The King’s Trust) business mentor, supporting young people as they take their first steps into entrepreneurship. Currently, I serve as a Teacher Facilitator at Luminate Education Group for the 2024/25 academic year. I deliver the Level 2 NCFE “Creating a Start-Up,” BTEC Level 2 Business Enterprise, and the BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Business at the Printworks Campus Business School. In the previous academic year (2023/24), I taught across the BTEC Business Enterprise and Marketing curriculum at the School of Events, Enterprise, and Employability, supporting Post-16 learners in achieving their academic goals and building employability skills. To strengthen my teaching practice, I have undertaken a two year part-time course which I have achieved a Level 5 Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) and a grade distinction in the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher apprenticeship deepening my pedagogical expertise. My journey into education began in a Project Worker role at Luminate Education Group (2020–2022), where I contributed to student engagement initiatives focused on enhancing employability and interpersonal skills. Alongside this, I supported the delivery of BTEC Level 3 Marketing and Level 2 Business and Enterprise during my teacher training for the Level 3 Education and Training qualification. I hold a BA (Hons) in Business Management (2:1) from the University of Huddersfield. Prior to my teaching career, I gained valuable experience in planning and coordinating marketing communications—both digital and offline—for private, public sector and especially in the undergraduate recruitment and student services within higher education market.
