About Eoin Osullivan

One month after graduating I began working as a Part II architect for the prestigious firm Wilson Hill Architects based in Dublin. Here I worked on a wide variety of residential developments which has truly enhanced my technical skills.After completing the first 3 years of my degree, I took a gap year and moved to New York City where I worked in Construction management. I developed strong communication and organisational skills during my time working as an Assistant superintendent. Along with one other Senior Project Manager, I ran the Interior fit-out for a commercial development in Midtown Manhattan from start to finish. Once I finished 4th year in the summer of 2021, I managed to obtain a loan from Micro Finance Ireland to set up my own coffee business, I then bought and renovated an old horsebox. I also converted a small quarter of an acre field at our farm entrance into a car park and on the 17th of July I opened the coffee shop: Bunlacken Brú to the public. It has since been voted to be one of the top 10 locations for a coffee and walk by the national cultural website lovin.ieThis is something I am very proud of, as I had an idea and went through with it. I found the whole creative process of renovating the trailer, building picnic benches, making the logo and running the social media all to be very enjoyable. It was quite challenging to run the business at the weekend during my final year in college, but I believe that I have learned and gained a huge amount of knowledge from the whole experienceAs I have now parted ways with both my job in Dublin and my business in Laois, I am excited to start the next step of my career in Vancouver.
