About Eray Mutlu

I am a political scientist and PhD researcher with a cross-disciplinary background in international relations, law, and economics—focusing on EU integration, trade policy, and energy security in Southeast Europe. With two MA degrees (Graz & Ljubljana), academic publications, and hands-on experience in international research projects, I bring both analytical depth and policy relevance to every assignment. My current work focuses on how small and mid-sized states navigate great power competition, economic dependencies, and institutional reform—particularly in the context of EU enlargement, energy transition, and trade dynamics. I have presented at international conferences (e.g, Danube Rectors’ Conference) and contributed to projects related to regional development, inequalities, and foreign policy. I combine policy analysis and data visualization (R, Tableau, Python) with strong writing and communication skills (academic, technical, and public-facing). I've organized international workshops, contributed to EU grant proposals, and worked with universities, NGOs, and regional organizations. Now, I am looking to apply my skills in roles where insight meets impact—in public affairs consulting, policy advisory, or analytical positions within international institutions, think tanks, or the private sector.
