About Eric Adler

I have experience in board work and I am currently a non executive director on a number of international oriented boards (European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), Dutch Danish Chamber of Commerce and just recently stepped down from The Hague International Model United Nations Foundation (THIMUN). I am looking at possibilities to join one or two boards in the future. I have led the establishment of IKEA in new countries as well as developing processes and methods to enable the retailers to operate successfully from the opening day. The last years at IKEA I spent working specifically with implementation, follow-up and transferring knowledge of the IKEA concept in IKEA stores worldwide, thereby assuring that the IKEA retailers secure the optimal customer experience. Before IKEA I have led projects and worked in sales (B to B), as well as establishing sales channels internationally. I also worked as managing director for a newspaper pre-press company and for a newspaper/magazine distribution company as marketing and procurement manager. Fluent in Danish, German and English. French, Italian and Spanish at a basic level. Understand other Scandinavian languages.
