With over 5 years of experience as a Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator and more than 10 years in pre-employment background screening, I have developed a unique blend of expertise in healthcare credentialing, administrative processes, and leadership. In my current role, I am responsible for managing the credentialing and privileging processes for healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and industry regulations. My work ensures that medical staff meet the highest standards of competence and professionalism, a critical component in maintaining quality care and patient safety. Before transitioning to healthcare, I spent over a decade in the pre-employment background screening industry. This experience honed my ability to manage complex administrative tasks, perform detailed background checks, and develop efficient processes for verifying qualifications, which seamlessly translated into the credentialing realm. It was during this time that I first became familiar with healthcare credentialing and verification, a field I quickly became passionate about due to its complexity and vital importance in healthcare settings. In addition to my hands-on experience, I have pursued a diverse educational path, earning three Associate’s Degrees—Business Administration, Information Systems, and Social and Behavioral Studies—followed by a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. These accomplishments have given me a strong foundation in both the operational and strategic aspects of healthcare, allowing me to bridge the gap between administrative excellence and healthcare compliance.
