About Eric Anderson

Entrepreneurship and out of the box solutions, with guidance from experienced professionals, will be the key to a future where climate change, short sighted design, and environmental degradation are linked to most societal problems. Building consensus and defining goals across cultures and socioeconomic divides is my greatest skill in building community. I approach the world as a father, an ecologist, a forester, an urban planner, a geologist, a community and economic development professional, and as a citizen of many communities. I am a life long learner and seek self-awareness. I ask for guidance when needed and seek to learn how things work, all the while tryng to listen more than I speak. I strive to surround myself with talented individuals possessing complimentary skill sets to my own. As an optimist, I will focus on people's strengths. This is my key to develpoing and maintaining collegial relationships everywhere I work. As a conservation entrepreneur, I feel a responsibility to be a mentor not only to career focused individuals but also to those with budding interest. I encourage discussion and solution building around difficult questions regarding diversity and inclusion. How do people of different backgrounds and abilities interact with nature? What artificial or overlooked limitations are present? What values and assumptions are prioritized? There is a long way to go and I am still learning.
