An expert in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching with more than thirty years of experience. Specialist in Teaching Methodology and Classroom Practices, Syllabus Design, Teacher Development, Language Testing and Assessment, ESP Materials Design and EFL Project Management. BA Drama. University of Hull (1988). PGCE in Teaching English as a Second and Foreign Language, University College of North Wales (1991). MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, University of Reading (2002). CIM Diploma in Digital Marketing (2014). Certificate in Language Testing. University of Lancaster (2019). Qualified e-moderator (online EFL tutor)(2016) Designed and delivered dozens of EFL workshops and courses in many countries over many years on the themes of teaching methodology and classroom practices and test writing and test delivery. Most recently designed, co-wrote and co-delivered a two-week course in North Korea focusing on the teaching of speaking and listening. Supported the set up and training of the Polish Armed Forces language examination board. Wrote "Attention" a course for Non Commissioned Officers learning English. Presented at numerous conferences. Managed projects for the British Council in Poland, Libya and North Korea, Regional English Project Manager for the British Council in Europe and in the Middle East and North Africa. Teacher trainer and mentor with the British Council in Central Asia. Managed the pretesting process for the Global Assessment team at the British Council. Currently co-managing the production of test items, including commissioning, reviewing and revising test items.
