About Eric Babski
While growing up spending every school vacation working at my family's factory, I developed a passion for manufacturing. I knew it would be my goal to one day take the family business to the next level and beyond what my grandfather ever imagined it could be. This is still my dream to this day. After high school, I attended Vermont Technical College for my Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering. My favorite class was Design Communications (Solidworks 101). My Senior project was to design and build an automatic Black Walnut cracker for a local farmer. It was successful. Next, I continued my education with Electromechanical Engineering, also at VTC. The summer before my senior year I studied as an intern at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in Waterbury, VT. This what opened my eyes to how differently other factories could operate. My senior project that year was to design and build both a Automatic Barn Scraper and a Jigsaw Puzzle Piece Counter. Both were successful. I am always looking for opportunities at other manufacturing plants to expand my knowledge and develop a broader sense of automation capabilities.
