About Eric Baiao

My first introduction to the fundamental questions about human language was during my time studying communication and foreign languages in college. These studies ignited a passion for language that encouraged me to pursue linguistics at university, where I was able to get a better understanding of the human language faculty. I hope to be able to use the skills I have developed as an asset in my career while continuing to learn about all aspects of people. I grew up in a multicultural household in a diverse community which gave me a lifelong interest in learning about people from all over the world. Growing up with people from various backgrounds has made me appreciate other ways of thinking. Starting in childhood and transitioning into my adult life, my hobbies have lead me to meet people from all over the world through the internet, developing friendships and giving me an even greater understanding of others. My experience working in a service-focused industry has helped me further develop skills for supporting people with varying needs and requirements. My colleagues have been of all ages, so working in this environment has exposed me to veteran workers and new hires, allowing me to build relationships both with people older than I, and people quite a few years younger, in order to work effectively as a team.
