About Eric Ball

As the Managing Director of the Americas for Henning Larsen, I develop and lead our strategic growth plan by overseeing our commercial performance through profitable business operations and successful project delivery. Leading a New York based design team which is deeply focused on Henning Larsen's founding values of quality, craft and community, I'm focused on building new and existing clients as well as collaborators that share in that ethos of delivering impactful new spaces across the Americas which inspire, enrich and respond to the needs of the communities and partners we are honored to serve locally. In my prior role as Management / Senior Director at Adjaye Associates, I led multiple projects from concept to construction, including residential towers, commerical interiors, adaptive reuse, K-12 schools, and private residences, all in the New York City region. Closing in on almost 20 years of experience as a licensed architect, I have developed a strong portfolio of diverse typologies and scales including museums, commerical towers, schools and residential high-rises, reflecting my passion for creating innovative and impactful spaces no matter the program. In addition to my design and technical skills, I also oversaw the office-wide project management and business development functions, focusing on contract negotiations, fee proposals, staff resource planning, hiring projections, and key internal initiatives. I leveraged my leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of projects, as well as the growth and sustainability of the firm. I also participated in confidential competitions and RFP / RFQ submissions, demonstrating my creativity and competitiveness in the operations, management and business development side of the architectural industry.
