About Eric Barone

I have nearly 11 years of working as a scientific analyst for the US military, including a one-year deployment to Afghanistan. My career has spanned a number of different types of analytics, from exploitation of hardware in the laboratory, test and evaluation of military hardware, and Big Data intelligence analysis to combat global terrorism.Throughout each of my positions held, I have heavily relied on a core skillset of mathematics and statistics. Along the way, I have gained considerable experience in computer coding, always with the objective of creating custom tools for analysis. I have experience with Matlab, VBA, C++, Perl, Python, and others, as well as an advanced knowledge of core applications such as Excel. I also have experience outside of work with microcontrollers and 3D printers, as well as other various emerging and interesting technologies.My career objectives are not necessarily military, but rather to remain as a scientist working with statistical and big data analytics. I have a track record of introducing new and innovative mathematical approaches to problems, and the communication skills necessary to fully inform decision makers at all levels.
