About Eric Bell

My name is Eric Bell. I am honored to say that I was the 34th nurse worldwide to hold all five professional nursing certifications through the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing. I am also certified in critical care nursing and as an academic nurse educator. In addition to my positions below, I have been involved in multiple areas of education within the healthcare system (ACLS, PALS, trauma nursing care, sexual assault response team, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention: CPI, and AEGIS training). I am an indirect FEMA trainer for the hospital emergency response team (HERT) course. I enjoy working with and being around people. I enjoy teaching and assisting in the onboarding process for new employees and students. I collaborate along well with others and adapt quickly to new environments. I enjoy working in healthcare, acting as a resource for other employees. I graduated with Honors from Central Ohio Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Technology. I was the second recipient of the Elizabeth Barnhart Award for Nursing Excellence. I graduated from Western Governors University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I graduated with high distinction from Chamberlain University with a Master of Science in Nursing Education. I graduated with high distinction from Chamberlain University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP-EdL) degree. I am currently a member of the Emergency Nurses Association (serving as the 2021 and 2022 President of the Central Ohio Chapter), the Society of Trauma Nurses, the Alpha Delta Nu nursing honor society, and the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. I’ve recently been considered a Subject Matter Expert by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nurses regarding the Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse exam. I enjoy furthering my education and advancing in the career I was called to do. I am currently looking to transition to a full-time educator position.
