My experience as a Locomotive Engineer/Conductor at CSX gave me a great understanding of the operational, safety, and customer service focus within the organization. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, I have a deep understanding of the technical and operational aspects of rail transportation, as well as the importance of effective procurement strategies. In my role as a Manager of Corporate Purchasing, I am responsible for sourcing mechanical materials, contract management, and field support. Through my efforts, I can reduce equipment down time while ensuring a safe operating railroad. As a freight engineer, I gained extensive experience in freight car classification, train buildup, and customer service. This experience maintained my strong track record of delivering high-quality results while prioritizing safety and operational efficiency. My expertise in Microsoft and a variety of other applications, combined with my experience in both Procurement and as a Locomotive Engineer, enable me to have a broad understanding of the industry. My understanding of the industry allows me to proactively procure while maintaining multiple budgets within the organization.
