About Eric Berry

I got my love for technology from my parents, who were both mainframe programmers. When I was a kid I got to go to work with them on occasion and see all the big machines and hear all the weird sounds they make. When I was a teenager, my stepfather built our very first PC with Window 3.2 and Warp OS/2. I really liked video games, so I had to learn how to use the PC in order to play the games he had stashed on it. When it broke I got to help fix it.Fast forward several years and my interest is also piqued by the “dotcom boom” going on, so I started reading books on HTML and dynamic server pages. I decided that I wanted to start my Professional Career as a Website Designer. It was really difficult to find companies to take a chance on someone with very little to no experience. I was very determined, so I found a company willing to let me design websites for $50 per website. This allowed me to get something in my portfolio.Still, it was difficult to find a job, so I decided to pursue a degree in Information Technology. Within a couple years in school, I got a job offer as a Contractor for a large insurance company. I did a great job, so they offered me a full-time job. The rest is history!
