Prior to his position with Telstra, Eric was a lawyer at the premier US litigation firm, Williams & Connolly LLC, based in Washington DC. Eric has: • Represented an Australian health care provider in disputes relating to technology supply and joint venture contracts. • Acted for Telstra in disputes relating to major IT supply contracts, and a dispute for recovery of a major joint venture investment. • Advised a major mining equipment supplier on a range of complex contractual disputes. • Acted as lead counsel for Defendants in US Federal Court proceedings between competitors involving trademark infringement, false advertising and confidential information claims, achieving dismissal of most claims and settlement of the remaining claims. • Represented plaintiff in claims in Australia against a major Japanese company relating to misuse of confidential information, and breach of contract. • Represented US-based retailer in claims brought in Australia by a listed Australian supplier, resulting in settlement of misleading conduct, breach of contract and negligence claims. • Advised Australian investors in a US entity on US Federal Court litigation relating to e-commerce trademark claims.
